Simply WOW. Thank you for explaining that to me.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

I'm paranoid about running my boats in lakes around here that you just about cannot see the boat once it's under. Give me Groton. Give me Cohutta.

                    Hi David,

I hope your not upset that I jumped in on your build forum! I have a question that I am sure you could give me some advice on!

I do not know if you have seen my build blog on the shark build!? Anyhow can you tell me where the prop should be located inside the shroud, and what distance the prop blade would be from the interior wall of the shroud?
I am new at this thruster building, and I am not sure of my design.

Thank you very much for your advice and knowledge!

No problem at all, Rob. You want as tight a non-interference gap between blade tip and shroud you can get away with. The shroud is there to reduce 'tip losses' -- rule of thumb is to put the propeller disc in the center of the shroud.

I really appreciate you taking the time to explain the correct method for installing the prop inside the thruster housing, and all those fantastic photos you posted up. Your photos, like they say, are worth a thousand words!

Once again you have come to my rescue...:-)) Thank you sir!

That Seaview build was a work of art, Dave.
Of the approximately 40,000 men who served on U-boats in WWII, it is estimated that around 28,000 to 30,000 lost their lives.
