China. In bulk, 250-500 units. Those days are way behind me. Still have a bag full so I can trash them at will. When I go tits-up it all goes to the local land-fill.

Ha ha ha, love it. In our defense, because of the doofus-goofus (my nicest words for them) HOA who will only let us go to the lake on Sundays. Something simple like ballasting has taken 3 trips. I'm measure foam and weight, Dave's sticking his finger to the wind and figuring it out in long-hand voodoo and no BS. It's still no perfect, but it's close. The brushless motors are a 3:1 then the gear drivetrain further reduces it about 4:1. The shafts have a lot of torque, but cutting down on speed. Getting probably 15 scale knots. This sub has more preps and quirks than the Nautilus does. Right now, it's nice to watch as part of the surface fleet :).

Do the motors run in the wet? Did you test it? Would be an option for my U1....
