Not yet. Was getting it ready for this weekends 'Fleet-Run' in NC. But, minutes ago I blew out the stern plane servo -- something that takes time (which I don't have between now and the event) to swap out. All trimmed out and ready to run and the servo motor pinion gear starts slipping over the motor shaft. ****! Anyway, this gives me time now to do a proper job of weathering this beast before handing it over to the new owner. Nuts!!!!Who is John Galt?Comment

I working on a 1/72 ALFA and would like to know how far into the rudders or stern planes does the pin attached to the yokes go. Not much wiggle room is there.

The Arkmodel 1/48 styrene kit. Very, very well engineered kit, making assembly of this thing into a relatively easy task. I'm lov'n it. I'm working this particular one up for Tom Harris, a local club member -- the tricks I'm learning on this one will be applied -- with much less grief and throwing of things -- on the kit of this beast I have in the #2 shed awaiting its turn on the list of boats I'll get to. That one will join my fleet.Who is John Galt?Comment

David, question,
That SD you are going to use for the type XXI, is that a 2 inch one?, if so i still have one gathering dust a the cave.
By the way, it's starting to look like a real sub with some light weathering.

How tragic. You have in your possession an orphan WTC that needs a proper home.
E-mail me your current address. Let's get these two items together over there at the tippy top of Europe so they can make the lakes there safe on behalf of the Kriegsmarine.
