The silicon oil is perfect for sliding or rotating shafts. The grease I use for fixed seals, like bulkhead O-rings. (This week I rejoin the work on your U-1 parts).

Dave, do those seals for the linkage go in one way or does it matter? I found that grease you use on Amazon. Expensive, but you’ll never use it all in a decade.
Of the approximately 40,000 men who served on U-boats in WWII, it is estimated that around 28,000 to 30,000 lost their lives.

          Either way, does not matter.

            Hi David.

I have been working on a second CB 1/32 model exactly like the one I sent you (to be for a static model instead to the RC one I am excited about). But I wanted to alert you the prop in the printing stl file I sent you used to print the Prop sent is all wrong I just discovered.

The diameter is correct, but the pitch is Wrong, th print is reversed from the photos of the real one in the museum in Zagreb. Croatia. The Prop is a slow turning pitch mickey mouse eared 3 bladed bronze. The model shaft diameter is a M2, the prop diameter is 1.4 inches, the hub diameter 5/16 inches, and 7/16 inches long.

Wnat me to order 3 frmt he prop shop in UK or you wish t make yur wn. I am fine with yours completely. I would need two props, one for the rc version and a spare for the static model.

            Sorry about that.

            Steven

It always amazes me how real submarines keep water out, with that pressure and a spinning shaft, along with linkage for the rudder and dive planes.

I'll be there. It's the Harbor Fest event in Norfolk, right next to Nauticus.

******, Sorry David. The pitch and diameter. rotation of the printed prop is correct after all after re examining after a nap.

Only the shape seems wrong. Sorry. my age is getting to me. The shape of the blades only is off.
