    David,
Nice vid what's involved running a rc submarine, both pre mission as post mission
As for my type XXIII, cg is under the middle of the tower, angle keeper at it's lowest setting, speed limited to 50%, when run on max power she will take the plunge.
I guess it has to do with the hull shape, the V80 loves to run fast ( different hull shape)
That dolphin movement of the boat can be due to the levelkeeper being too sensitive, had the same issue with the V80, turned down the levelkeeper each time untill i had a straight run, i must admit the V80 has a levelkeeper from Norbert.

    Manfred.

Good food for thought, Manfred. Much appreciated. Your words carry considerable weight in these quarters. I've already moved the c.g. and c.b forward considerably. Will run it in the local JCC pool tomorrow. I'll report the outcome tomorrow evening. Will try to take similar video as well.

I'm sure that notebook is full of interesting and useful information just like Da Vinci's. How I'd love to get a copy.

Primed. will do more fine sanding. The hull break will leave for you 'as is' as you requested David. I know you decided on a water line break, but if you can cast the parts you planed, fully in single pieces with your miraculous rubber molds maybe then already done with a fore and aft hull break? I am including a xerox of the hull parts to outline the dimensions.

Just make a smaller 2 inch inside diameter bayonet locking ring instead. The diagram shows there is enough gap between inner and outer hulls for a bayonet ring

Then just make wtc attached to stern with two screws for easy removal for inspections and maintenance?

You're the engineer on this project so leave to you. The limber holes in hull are already done for you.

The exterior torpedo tubes are printed too but suggest maybe these could be made instead out of brass tubing and then you would be able to launch small electric torpedoes instead. I'll send you the tubes too for you to decide or if for nthing else sizing the new brass ones from the printed parts dimesons.

                          The hatches need work.

Beautiful. Can do. I'll further break the stern radially right where the horizontal stabilizers meet the hull -- that after section will be a hollow cast resin item. The remaining stern and bow sections will be GRP. This is going to be a fun project, Steve! Yes, this must be a torpedo shooter!

Yes to all your recommendations, Steve. I'll also cut the stern radially to capture horizontal and vertical stabilizers as a hollow resin casting.

What's the maximum length of 2" dia. wtc that'll fit inside the hull?
