BTW, What's the purpose of adding bleach to the water?
Good tip on substituting the CA with UV activated magic goo. I'll check that out. If it works I'll embrace that fix over the CA anytime!

The bleach kills all the micro-nasties.

Got the package last night. This thing is beautiful! And will take about 8"of 2" o.d. Lexan cylinder (que the porn music).

I'll jump in on it after I finish collaborative work with Andreas on a pair of U-1 boats. This years dance-card is filling nicely.

Hi! I am detailing a SWM 1:96 HMS Trenchant and couldn't find the page in "Today's Work" wherein HWSNBN painted the draft marks on the leading edge of a Trafalgar Class submarine model rudder. Is there some way to "resurface" that page so we can see that effort again and try to follow on? I can get the front half of the process, as in prime, paint blue, place dry transfers, overpaint with black. I don't wanna wreck the effort by removing overpaint and the transfer "masks" by doing it the wrong way. I screened through almost 30 pages.

                Thanks!

                Bill

Truly we are not worthy! Very fine work on a fairly rare subject, at least on this side of the pond. So now my Trafalgar kit goes in the trash bin lest it ever be seen.

Thank you, kind sir! Was there a certain way you cleared away the black overspray and the dry transfers to reveal the blue or red underneath? Just for clarity, I used red Woodland Scenic Graphics numbers for on the bow and the extreme aft sides of the rudder. Not the best work ever, but close enough to look good at PD! ;)

High stick masking tape is all it took, Bill. The traditional tan colored stuff.

Cool! Thanks, David! I have a Home Depot shopping list in the works for stand materials and need new tape anyway!

Brass tube. I think 0.014" wall thickness, from K&S Engineering, sharpened and used like a gasket punch. Available from local hobby shop or online. The fat one looks like it has also been used as a painting stand. Punching is much easier than dragging an Xacto # 11 around inside a circle template.
