Hi David,
Just a short note to thank you very much for a great presentation on DiveTribe today. Excellent subject matter and presented in a very organized manner. and easy to understand. I was impressed with how you designed and built the interior submarine bracing not only in the bottom but a matching top that basically locks itself into the bottom. You are the master sir...
Thank you again David for taking the time and putting forth the effort to present your presentations. (Past and future)

"Firemen can stand the heat."
So many of my betters and peers shared with me, without complaint or expectation of reward -- other than the satisfaction of knowing that I would pass on what I learned -- the knowledge they acquired through their individual practice of the Crafts. We'll keep the fire lite as long as we can.
For what it's worth Rob, I regard you as one of we few remaining, 'keepers of the flame'.Who is John Galt?Comment

The bilge keels? I complete the bottom encapsulant half without any provisions to accommodate the models projecting bilge keels, lower the model down onto the encapsulant and push just hard enough for the tips of the bilge keels to leave indentations on the foam frames. Remove the model and gouge out the areas on the encapsulant frames where bilge keel contact was indicated. Done.

Old house. Ellie and I bought it not quite 40 years ago. It was built in the 60's. It's listing to one side a bit. Hense the cracks in the walls and ceiling.
Nothing a little spackle and elbow-grease won't make pretty.Last edited by He Who Shall Not Be Named; 02-09-2025, 02:02 PM.Who is John Galt?Comment

The bed-stand .22 pistol (used to be Ellie's gun) is to get their attention. If needed, the shotgun is to make a declarative statement.
The cop's here in Virginia Beach are at least five-minutes away. I'm the impatient type.Last edited by He Who Shall Not Be Named; 02-09-2025, 05:16 PM.Who is John Galt?Comment
