Indeed. Of all the different illustrators of the many re-prints of Well's book, Correa's concepts were his favorites.

How much did that sheet set you back? Was that a lifetime supply?

Stuff does not look cheap these days.

Yeah. I love that stuff -- beats the **** out of patten making woods. Ellie hated it, created a house full of fine dust -- but she came around a bit when she found it easy to sculpt (the 20 lbs. stuff, anyway).

That 'log' came in at around $1200 plus shipping. The client (MIT School of Engineering Dept.) paid for it. I only used a small portion of it for the initial job. Yup, will still have plenty left over once I become worm-dirt.

Thanks David. I knew back in the day people (you and Dennis come to mind) were using it, but i wasn’t sure if it’s just being used as a material from which you would cast finished parts (a master) or if it’s good enough material to actually use as a part.

Both the dense and not-so-dense versions of RenShape find utility both as masters -- from which tools are struck -- and parts of the model proper. For example, that Martian War Machine I'm building is mostly fabricated from both types of RenShape.

                  Dave,
You should bring that sample hull with all the paint tests to Subfest. Would be great for people to see.

Not only that, but I'll lay out an array of picture binders as well as a selection of weathering mediums and tools. If table-space permits.

What material are using for those decals? They appear to have a sticky backing to them? The vinyl decals that Callie Graphics has made for me in the past were self stick after the backing was removed. Whatever it is that you are using, ever had a problem with them curling up or getting upset after the clear coat was applied? Or over time?

I’m really jealous of your ability to get your vents perfectly square.
Of the 40,000 men who served on German submarines, 30,000 never returned.”
