MG90s are very worthwhile upgrade over SG90 servos. The difference in price is small, but the MG90s has metal gears with a finer pitch, so they run smooth and are torquier. Same footprint as the SG90, so a straight swap.

As always, good struff from you side of the Ocean, Andy. Already have a box-full of those. Great minds think alike, pal. Jake had me put those Ironman mini's in his big 1/48 NAUTILUS and they seem to be up to the high loads presented by the propeller pitching mechanism.

Got some info about the type XXIII
Ran her today without the ADF, running low speed no problems, higher speeds works also, but the too late correcting factor is a issue, once she breaks the surface airpockets become a problem.
Static CG is right in the middle of the tower, added weight around 500 gram, rear and front diveplanes work together on the same channel, no depthkeeper present.

This third change of c.g.-c.b. was a bust, I was lucky to get the model back to the boat stand. A screaming pile of steaming ****!

I'll box it away and spend the rest of the season with boats THAT WORK!!!

Yes. Thanks for reminding me. The Elite Fleet met for our Sunday run as usual and during that event our de facto leader, Marco, presented the latest information dealing with our participation at this coming weekends Harbor Fest in Norfolk:

The event -- itself free to the general public will open at noon till 11PM Friday and Saturday; noon till 6PM Sunday. Adjacent parking is about $20 per day.

I hope you can do something in the future with the info.
Some things work other not, same issue with the Ko Hyoteki, for now she's on the shelf, next winter i'll have a look at that boat, last testdrive with spirou gave not the wanted result, backdraft of water from the vents, the plan is to build a tunnel around the prop, just to channel the fliow, let's see if that will work.
