This is why they set up a shark watch on deck while swimming or other over the side activities. They are not going to advertise their approach.IT TAKES GREAT INTELLIGENCE TO FAKE SUCH STUPIDITY!Comment

Thanks Dan, its diffinetely a Scorpene. If you look at the top left corner and Zoom in it says Scorpene. By the way, for all those that dont know, you can zoom in on these pictures by holding down the left control button on your keyboard and then with the mouse scroll in or out. In the bottom right hand corner of your display you will see a number and a percent symbol. 100% would be normal magnifacation.IT TAKES GREAT INTELLIGENCE TO FAKE SUCH STUPIDITY!Comment

Chile bought two Scorpènes from France. Between the resolution and the angle, it's hard to see the pennant number.
Seem capable enough as diesel-electrics, but the AIP technology seems pretty wacky. (Technical term)Comment

Hello. Chilean Navy bougth two SCORPENE submarines, but from SPAIN. They were built at Cartagena (Mediterranean Sea), an spanish naval shipyard with a long an prestigious history in submarine desing and build. Their names are CARRERA and O'HIGGINS. Here you can see a pic of the first leaving port for sea trials; that's the reason for the spanish flag at the sail. By the way: At Cartagena you can see the first really operational submarine. It was desinged by and spanish navy officer: Isaac Peral, (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isaac_Peral).Comment
