Daily submarine picture

I spend a lot of time searching for new(to me) submarine pictures from various search engines and they are accumulating. I thought that I would post one picture a day(weekday) to this section. If you want to post one of your own or just add a comment, please feel free.

The woman on the right and the man on the left have to throw it down the hatch so that they can crash dive to beat the japanese zero diving out of the sun!:wink:

Shes got a wedding ring on the left hand.

There are some very large props whirring about inside those nozzles back there!!! If one of those guys back there were to slip on a slippery deck they would go straight into those props. Im surprised that they let them back there without some kind of safety rope!

On the picture of the Typhoon, what are those large access doors to close to the stern where the men are walking? Seems like any large door would be a weak point.

I cant imagine anyone being on the back end of that thing undeway without thoughts of slipping in there! That should be enough to make you be careful. That rubber I wonder if it gives good traction on your shoes. I imagine it would.

Tethered buoys that, when deployed, carry communication antennas near or above the surface.

Ok , so the doors dont compromise the pressure hull.

How does a person get in just the perfect spot to get such a perfect picture? Notice the water coming out of the holes in the sail and from out of what appear to be torpedo tube doors. I know the sail is probably typical of most in that they take on water, but whats up with the torpedo tube doors?

Nice closeup of a Delta, something that you dont see everyday! Looks like a gang plank laying crossways. I would have thought that it would have stayed on the dock.
