I got the theme song stuck in my head.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

I don't think I'll ever tire of looking at the Seaview in either variant or the flying sub for that matter.
      Cheers,
      Alec.

The heading on the picture could read for a new 4wd or suv design too... Cut aways of any type do always look good though.

No tip stern planes. VIRGINIA class maybe?
                      Who is John Galt?

The split stern planes may be there not only for roll control, but also (by centering the inboard set) arranged to tone down the disruption of water, insuring a less turbulent flow into the PJ at speed.

One of two evasion device canisters set into the hull, a diver maintained item. The pod outboard the anhedral (those stabilizers used to mitigate snap-roll during high-speed hard turns) with the hole in the leading edge -- don't know! Wake detector? I see a thin wire fairlead on the port horizontal stabilizer tip.
