Cusk launching the JB-1(Loon) at point Magu 1949. JB-1 was the airforce designation for the V1 buzzbomb copy. JB stood for jet bomb. It didnt have the pulsjet motor the germans used. It had a Ford jet engine and it was rc guided. No warhead on the Navy version. They were testing launch and guidence systems for the up comming Martin Mattador that was the Regulous legacy. 2 boats were used during the loon tests. The other was the Carbonero SS 337Comment

Well that goes to show what I know. I was under the impression that the Loon was a V1, as if they had found a war surplus of them and were using them just as we did with their Type 21 and 23s ,testing them. Thanks Vonhilde for straightening me out on that one, and many others.IT TAKES GREAT INTELLIGENCE TO FAKE SUCH STUPIDITY!Comment

WoW! Look how big those PUFFS are. Comparing them to the "Gents" standing near they appear to be almost 10 feet tall.
In the drydock picture, note the small fins just behind the props.IT TAKES GREAT INTELLIGENCE TO FAKE SUCH STUPIDITY!Comment
