Of the approximately 40,000 men who served on U-boats in WWII, it is estimated that around 28,000 to 30,000 lost their lives.

Would it kill you to simply bend some .030" sheet styrene to the proper radius. Jeeez!

This complexity warship HAS TO STOP!

And tighten up those limber holes at the bow. An artifact of kit tool design rendered them too tall.

When I use Styrene on horizontal cut line how should I lay it down? Can I use Nitro Stan Putty?

              No!

What the hell were you thinking?

You thought making the corners within the too tall limber holes at their tops match the form of the corners at the bottom would fix these awful sphincter looking holes???

              Damnit!

Rebuild with CA-baking soda grout within the holes top edge to reduce their height. Fine-tune the holes with files, sanding sticks, sandpaper twists of #240 sandpaper and god-knows-what to get them to proper shape.

Oh! Forgot to add these shots to show how to induce a tight radius into strip stock using a pinch-stick. File this trick away for future use. You're welcome!

                          Dave,
did you add any grates on the bottom of your XXIII? I didn’t notice in Georgia.

Nope. Just simple, no sweat, open flood-drain holes.
