Ok, wow! So you do the pours with the brass inserts in place already? Gets a perfect seal that way?

Those 'inserts' are temporary: they suspend the soon to be encapsulated O-ring before pouring resin. Once the casting has changed state from liquid to solid the part is extracted from the tool, the 'insert is removed, leaving the O-ring to do its job of making watertight ether an axial running pushrod, or making water tight the union between bulkhead and conduit.

Since I'm mostly a 'skimmer' guy, I'm also working on scaling up a 1/1000 version of the Halifax Class Frigate to 1/144 to make it R/C suitable.
See how it goes. I've got a sample print going right now.

To make a quick and dirty filler you first apply wet CA to the area you want to fill. You then sprinkle on backing soda, (Sodium bicarbonate) over the goo. The high pH of that compound is very high, causing the CA to cure hard almost immediately. You then grind away the excess with rotary tools, files, and sanding sticks.
Like so:

I completely understand that you want to be known as a master craftsman… but let’s face it, those little figures are works of art. At this point, you might as well start wearing tie-dye, grow a ponytail, and become a vegan. You’re just a few steps away from becoming a full-blown hippie artist!
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go on an overnight drunk, and in 10 days I'm going to set out to find the shark that ate my friend and destroy it. Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome.Comment

A few more vegetables here to throw into the pot. I maybe bias, but of all the WW2 era midget subs, Japanese, German, British, the Italian CB subs are to coolest looking. As Meriman said "very Organic". A Little Jules Verne too.
The Italian Navy in WW2 often gets a bad rap historically. Impressive ships, good able seaman, poor leadership and no fuel. The best optical range finders on their warships in th world combined with, inconsistent naval gun propellants resulting in very wide (too wide) fall of shot patterns (thankfully for the Royal Navy).
But One thing the Italians excelled at was special ops! Human torpedoes and midget subs successful ops against Gibraltar and Alexandria. Sinking soviet ships and subs in the Black Sea. Asymmetric warfare before it had the title Asymmetric warfare. Best complement, the British copied their 'Pigs' (human torpedoes). The early primitive diving equipment they used compared to now. Very little known yet about diver physiology either. Gutsy.
