Clarity is a virtue. The real world is indeed black/white; yes/no; true/false; and right/wrong. There is no maybe. There is no try. There are no multiple solutions to a specific problem.

Absolutes are never achieved but should be strived for. Anything else is the road to chaos (hello, 2023).

You'll have a blast. I've been pooping out shaving for nearly a half-century, and I'm still learning things on that and other machines. Much good fun... keep the band-aids at hand.

These pages showing your choice of different finishes is really interesting. Especially the water based acrylics, and the assorted brushes. Don't know if you remember or not, but you walked me through the process of using the acrylics on my H L Hunley finish work and especially using sponges to apply the colors. (I even got a sort of a job well done) So I will be using the same techniques to finish out my ICTINEO!

Airbrushing, yea did it. Learned enough from 'Today's work' and other David posts to get it done on a sub. Have to practice more, and more, etc.
Brush weathering. Did it. Have to practice much more.
Color wheel, got it. That FSC 595 chart, elusive, hard to find, ridiculously expensive from here.... https://ams-std-595-color.com/ Can find the colors online plenty of places.
Acrylic paints. Got the primary and a few others. Not good at playing mix my own colors.
Masking, yea did it. Could always use more practice.
Pastel chalk and oil paints. Have them but have not used them yet.
                          Weathering in general. Practice x1000.

Did the scribing thing years ago on the Marlin. Check
Built two submarines (need to build more) Check
Practiced airbrushing and AWL weathering on a test article. Check
                          Weathered a model submarine. Check
Using a lathe more often. Exciting work in progress.

Great resource here to learn!! Get er done!!

Its guys like you two bum's who make it all worthwhile; seeing people such as yourselves take the ball and run with it is most satisfying to me!
