Thanks Manfred, I need people to keep an eye on me to keep me from making a CATASTROPHIC booboo. Well here it is all opened up. I dont think that there is enough room to drill another hole in that arm so I think that I will thin out the inside of the inspection hatch somewhat and take a little off of the end of the arm. You know.......compromise. The hatch and the surfaces need to be cleaned up a little more. Ill probably leave the hatch off, just in case until its time to paint it after everything else is sorted out. The fittings kit came with one velcro holddown strap, I need two. So Ill put some hooks into the supports in the front for the battery WTC.

Can you show the diamond blade you used to cut the hull.Make it simple, make strong, make it work!Comment

Sure I can Mr. Redboat. Here they are. I used the larger one on this job. The smaller one comes mounted on a shaft. The larger one has to be mounted on this spring loaded Mandrel deal thing.IT TAKES GREAT INTELLIGENCE TO FAKE SUCH STUPIDITY!Comment

Thanks Gman. Was looking for a local source of the Dremel mini ripsaw but couldn't find one. All that's available looks similar to wjat you used. I see that it can very much handle the job, might get one myself.
We live in the suburbs just outside the capital Manila. We only experienced very high gusts of wind and few heavy rains. We were lucky compared to those hit by the storm surges. I believe some of Ellie's relatives were affected.Make it simple, make strong, make it work!Comment

I just couldnt stand it! I had to put that beautiful sail together. I took one picture of it in my hand so that you could see how large it is, not to mention the fantastic detail. Obviously there are more parts. Ill put the grab irons on later. The hatch tube going down into the sub....I didnt need it so I nixed it. Ive got the hatch closed.. Also, that periscope. I think I want a crack at doing something with it. Stay tuned.IT TAKES GREAT INTELLIGENCE TO FAKE SUCH STUPIDITY!Comment
