I agree Manfred. Moving the hull around on the bench I'm already knocking them into things, they get in the way sticking out like that.

If I look back at David's fitting kit, at this point I have already made most of what was in the kit, those with the X. The figures, do not need. Not sure what the question mark items may be for, or the ones that are circled. The ones in the square, not sure either, but I suspect something to do with attaching the sail to the deck. Maybe magnetic contacts?

This week I hope to finish up stuffing the SD. David sent me synthesized receivers I hope work for me. Groton is not far away. Have to get the sail on and the boat trimmed out. Find where the heck I can stuff foam. Getting deja vu on the foam problem like the Skipjack. By no means will it be finished, but hope to run it at SubEx25.

    Left to do before Groton...
Get Sub driver stuffed and tested
    Make linkages to dive planes
Linkage SD to prop dive shaft
Hold downs for main deck and rudder cover
Get the sail on in some manner
If time, get some detail on the deck and sail
    Install weights
    Install foam
Trim the boat in the test tank (bath tub)
And whatever else I can think of

Even after getting all that done, after Groton over the winter will still have much to do.

I’m sure David will chime in, but IIRC, the two items on the left were for mounting a camera in the tower.

Gotcha, thanks David. I will not be using those. At least for now, may make some other type in the future.

On Tuesday I'll post about the synthesizer receivers you sent me.

I guess this is for David.

I added a wire to extend the antennae to the Sombra SL-8 and connected a servo. Turned on the transmitter, then the receiver with the plug. Waited a minute or more for the receiver to sync to the transmitter. No luck when I move the transmitter channel. No response at all.

Did the same with the Seeker6. Pressed the button and applied power to the receiver. Nothing.

            What should I try now?

Did you put the bridgeplug on channel 8?

Hmm, it should work the way you tried it, there is another solution, but you have to got a shadow programmer, i had the same problem, by using the programmer i could choose the channel from rhe Wyfly.

I looked to see if I could find the programmer. No luck on that. I would like to have one to get it working. And just to have it on hand.

I believe all those receivers have the PPM modulation protocol. Insure your transmitter is PPM modulated as well.

So far, you're six-for-six, pal!... don't make me come over there!!!

Would they be PPM or PWM? I presume my older 75Mhz Hitec is only PWM. And it cannot be changed. If I had the Shadow Programmer like Manfred mentioned could the receivers be changed to PWM? Could not find the Shadow Programmer for sale anywhere (eBay)

EDIT: I'm apparently wrong, the transmitter specs are PPM.

We may have to resort to that at the rate I'm going.

Well we know the first three will not work.

Well, if you can't make that work, send me your transmitter (and those problem-children receivers I sent) and I'll pair a receiver to it and return to you a ready-to-plug-in-devices r/c system.

Man!... I know what it's like to have a job come to a screaming halt because of some seemingly insurmountable problem. We'll get you through this, party-boat-boy.

Or, I can send you a complete r/c system, already checked out -- transmitter and receiver. I can have that package off to you the same day I get your concurrence.

Why am I so nice to you? ****, I don't know...

Will do, but will send it out Thursday. Leaving early tomorrow to spend the day with my daughter at rehab. The transmitter I'm sending I use with the Marlin, Skipjack and Bronco and any future underwater boats. Only submarines. Don't know what those future boats will be so if you can get two receivers working with it that would be appreciated.

Have to get this asap. Have to tub test the Marlin and Skipjack and this Bronco for Groton. Yeah, CRUNCH TIME!

Because I do things! Lots of things I've seen you do. And I'd say I do it well. Yeah you too. We both can be teacher and student.
