Sorry to hear about your shelf mishap Tom but a clever bloke like you will sort it. I like the Idea of a coastal chart. It's the little things like that matter, well to me anyway. I did the same with the wilco Proteus I did a while ago.

First of all mariners use charts not maps! As a costal boat you can bet your sweet ass they would take a chart up to the bridge when necessary!

Thanks tom. The wilco model is ok sort of like a diamond in the rough. There was so much that needed doing inside to bring it up to an acceptable level. I suppose at the time it was a true garage kit. Had I truely known how rough it was I poberbly would not have got is as a couple of years later Crows nest Models brought out an almost definitive one. But Then Drew was rather passionate about the subject as well.

Well I knew you'd fix it... But yeah your right no one will ever know apart from you, the rest of the board here and any one of the million or so people that stumble on the thread via Google, bing etc. LOL

Don't be fooled. The camera angle doesn't do much justice to "certain detail"

Antennas, slot machine handle, and flag poles installed. Still to do: Life preserver holder, detail snorkel (not Manfredize), cable mount at front of tower, navigation lamp for periscope, and cleat.

We will see how much remains on the sub after this weekends run.
