To hold the forward hatch steady once positioned into place through magnetic force. A long reach in there, which my ham sized hands could not go. I 'walked' the forward hatch assembly via magnets from the opening to the correct location near the bow. Three magnets atop the hull acting with three magnets on the hatch assembly for assured 'stick' as I applied CA with a long-reach length of brass strip.Who is John Galt?👍 1Comment

Absolute genius using magnets.
If it was me, I would have probably used blue tack to stick it inside then while looking from the outside used my finger, stick or hemostat to coax the part into position then apply CA. These let you position it from the outside.
Too bad all of that detail gets covered.Make it simple, make strong, make it work!Comment

Ship-In-The-Bottle works because the uninformed observer can't make out how the builder got the rigging past the bottle-neck.Absolute genius using magnets.

Had to forgo the leaves and worked to chop down the the tree those outsized rats were using to access the corner of the house -- through which those little *******s chewed they're way into the attic. Fortunately my two kids, Chris and Elena and her husband Don stopped by and made it their mission to clean the attic of squirl **** and some nesting material.
The big rats are gone, no need to go Med evil on 'em as I had recently stocked up with some Amazon killing machines before the kids got here. Had to chase three of 'em out of the house with a broom and stern language. No more noise in the attic so far, but if I hear one peep, out come the noggin crunchers.
Hey, I did the color accent you recommended -- came out pretty good. Just laid down the flattened clear-coat. Looks fantastic!
When you coming over?
