This is cranking 10 pounds of @$&t into a 2 pound bag. Impressive.

Would the 2" Subdriver meant for the 1/144 Seawolf have sufficient ballast tank volume to float her to scale water line?

I’ve seen that boat in person. Amazing work.

If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

Looks like Dave working on Bob's 1/96 Blueback either before or after the tail got sheared off.

Mine suffered damage too when a novice ran it. One vertical stabilizer is still in need of repair.

To determine the volume of the ballast tank needed for your Nautilus you first weigh everything that's above the water line when the boat is surfaced. You then get a length of polycarbonate tubing set it on the scale, tare it to zero then slowly fill it with water until the weight of the water matches the weight of the above waterline items. You mark out the water level in the tube giving you the length of the ballast tank needed. Maybe add 10-15% margin to account for the items that go inside the tank like linkages, gas bottle, SAS float.
