Multi-tasking in the verts for the THRESHER's I see. You going to make molds and cast them?

Yes sir. Cast two of each set, slap those dudes on, and be done with it. I blame you!

Nice recovery on the yellow David. The PUFFS for the THRESHER's are looking good too. I still can't get over how the simple trick of cutting an edge on the tape before laying it down makes it prevent bleeding under the tape. I will forever remember that nugget of modeling technique. Thank you for sharing that on my THRESHER build.

Completely forgot about that technique from my plastic model building days. The tape's edges tend to lift getting tattered and the adhesive lose it's grip over time. Cutting ensures a nice clean edge and tackier adhesive.

Make it simple, make strong, make it work!

These are wonderful works of art! I'm sorry to interrupt you, David have you ever thought about writing a book about all your techniques? That way people who come after you can learn from your wisdom.

God Damnit!... it's not art. It's CRAFT!!! I'm a Craftsman. Not some long-hair, Gaia worshiping, vegan, limp-wristed artist. The term 'art' has been used so often as to have lost any useful meaning.

My work is already out there: I've contributed to several hard and loose-bound books, appeared on TV, done many panels and seminars, have written over 80 published articles. And recently had material presented in Bob's Diving (balls) Deep how-to book.

Now. Two choices: I can either write that epic. Or I can build and assemble models and play with them to my heart's content. Pick one!

Bob has started a new series on his YouTube channel dealing with submitted videos by other r/c model submariners. Be on the lookout for that, I just sent him a bunch of stuff to air out.

                    David,

At least the white is yellow now, like it should be, if you want you can add a yellow band on the top of the bow, or on the exhaustcover, by the way, don't forget the pole

                    Manfred.

You were right about the white undercoat -- really made the yellow 'pop'.

                      Pole?

It’s bad luck not to have a pole on board.
