Nice. Like it's something I always had? … I make an assumption about what you wrote, please correct me if I'm wrong about what you mean by, nice.
Nice has nothing to do with my abilities in this Craft. I work at it: I invested a lifetime in pursuit of a passion; I've refined a set of skills. Like any discipline, this is something you work at; something you sacrifice for; something you dedicate your self to; something you structure your existence around.
It's nice that you appreciate my good works.

No.
My talent was secured through a lifetime of dedicated, directed, purposeful pursuit.
And by 'blessed', I take it as simply my winning the 'accident of birth' lottery. 70 years ago I scored big-time:
Born to healthy, intelligent, driven parents who gifted me with their attributes; raised in America; at this time in human history; and a member of the most favored race -- whites do get the breaks in this society.... but things are slowly improving on that front.
Accident of birth is everything. Some win all the chips. Some are short-changed. Those who win the chips are obligated to exploit every opportunity. I endeavor to do that.
