I may not have gotten to drive a 637, but I did drive a 688, it wasn't the greatest, but it was fast. My favorite Tho was driving a Virginia. Having first hand control of both trim and the planes, I could make that boat do things that amazed even the CNO.

Jam dive? Nah. "Officer of the deck, I have indications that the inner(outer) stern planes are stuck at x degrees dive". Split the planes, reduce speed, transfer the bows to the co-pilot and report "OOD, I have control"

      • David,

Glad to see you're building at the type XXIII, one remark, that white lining has to be yellow, it's a sign that the boat is in UAK, the final step into commission at the Kriegsmarine.

        Manfred.

        Ducking to evade the spraycans.

What have you been up to now that your down-stairs dungeon is finished?

          • David,

At least you have a good underground to spray it yellow, and yes the guys from Bronco have it wrong about the colour.

Still building at the type XVIi, that is, she's sprayed her final colours, has to dry and harden, when ready i'll give you guys a update.

Busy with a contractor to place solarpanels this autum, with provisions of a back-up battery in the future.

            Manfred.

            • I already knew it was supposed to be yellow. But it would be like telling Obi-Wan that his light saber color was wrong.
