    Is that ply you have used for the linkage support?

    Mark, nice picture, noisy sub though with all that disturbance from the prop.

            Hey Peter. Yes, its ply. Easy to work and obtain and once its been glassed it will be immouvable.

              Ah.. I think that fat thing hanging out of the sail is Kim Jong Whatshis name. so I'm guessing its North Korean. Unless he's on holidays in which case it could be Martian.

                That would be a North Korean Green Romeo with the "fool" driving. In answer to the question "Why Green?" Green is the color that everything turns into underwater after a few atmospheres.

                            A new question. Have you considered making the periscopes retractible? I can't figure it out. There doesn't seem to be enough room to do it with the 3.5" sub driver on place. Thoughts?

                              You could mount the scopes to a thin sheet and attach foam to the bottom of the sheet. The scopes will come up when the sub submerges.

                                Don't think that there is enough room on top of the SD to allow them to move more than an inch and a half.
