Scribing, continued. Using a very thin diamond rotary tool and an aluminum strip as a ruler, work progressed qickly.

Thank you, Dr.Schmidt! Doing my best to give that kiddy canoe character!
Making the four hardpoints for the salvaging device. Styrene was too tiny, went the metal way again! The rings were made from 3mm brass rod that i wound around a 2,5mm core after glowing it soft, cutting the individual rings and flattening them by hammer. I used tubing on the streight part to safe weight. The tip needs to be pointier, this is the first attempt, follow-ons will be made accordingly. After finishing, am confident those will sit fine halfway down in their sockets. That first picture is from a Juliett SSG, slighly different from the shorter and fatters versions of the Whiskeys.

More soldering. Made a jig to install the missing posts to the reling sideways of the missile containers. After preparation, the soldering went quickly.

First reling is in place! As with the original, the longer posts stand upright on the deck while the fore ones are bend and attached to the side. Some minor corections are necessary, but overall it worked from the start. The positions of the angles were marked over the drill positions and than bend with pliers and fingers. Some trimming back of the ends was necessary to be able to put the reling on.

I must say, your work on that sail structure is nothing less than monumental -- what a task. Keep chugging away; keep transitioning this pigs ear into a silk purse. Good work, sir.

Thank you, David! Actually i really enjoy the soldering work and am making good progress. Only some easier things left concerning deck details. Am looking forward to having it all ready for permanently gluing it down and priming. When all the floodholes are done on the lower hull, that boat is aiming right for completion!

Changed the reling, it was wrong...Personally, the first approch shown above looks better for my taste, but it is not scale...

Just finished those last two small relings on the rear hatches of the missile tubes. Hours of finding the proper spot for the best solution between the real boat and my model. At this point, the inaccuracy of the "sail"s geometry had full impact, but now i believe i caught the proper look.

Tried grinding the first recess of the salvage couplers, free-handed. Not quite right, yet...
