    I believe that it is a Guppy, just like the Trutta, hey Dave. What I found interesting was how the chin dome is constructed. Looks like it comes apart down the centerline. The Port side is missing.

    Well. We all agree that's a type XXI bow lower part. What's the unusual thing? The square coaming or what seems to be a different material in the front part of the sonar dome?

    They could just be temporary support beams for the platform on the rear deck.

    Does anyone have photos of the helicopter-style "landing skids" Seawolf used when parked on the seabed?

    In the last picture you can see something permanantly attached to the sails front on each side. I say permanantly because it looks like diagonal bracing underneath them.
