It's been somewhat of a struggle and as soon as the silicone cure (tomorrow) I will do a leak test on the end cap and then I can move onto the rest of the control wiring!

Some progress today!
I installed the power wires to my ESC, 3D printed some caps which I then fill with silicone to form a positive seal on all the penetrations through the end cap! After the silicone cures (24 hours) I will add a coat of waterproof seal to the entire inside of the end cap and this will complete this portion of the WTC.

More items done today!
I soldered brass washers to the wire ends of the brushless motors. I them bored three holes in the end cap to install 3 4-40 brass screws that I attached the motor wires to.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a procedure that I learned from David Merriman, and it works great! :-))
The 3 wires from the ESC will now connect to the three brass screws that protrude through and into the inside of the end cap, this makes a very positive link up between the ESC and the brushless motor!

Hi Romel,
The brushless motors worked ok, and they did run well in the water, the main problem was they turned at almost 12,000 RPM at 7.2 volts and really had no torque to them. Oh well live and learn! And it seems like I just have to learn it the hard way (my father always told me that!) :-))
I think this new set up is going to work out well!

The new brushless motor just arrived for the HMS Holland!
I will be using this same motor and set up on my SM UC 5 U-BOAT build as well!

Today I finished up the two new stern hull sections to replace the original that would not work out with the original motor.
The new 750KW brushless motor will arrive today and I will get it mounted on the end cap and line up with the new stern sections!

Back at the Holland again!
I am reprinting the stern section of the Holland, and I have purchased a 750KV Brushless motor and a 40 amp bidirectional ESC for the rebuild. The original motors that I was going to use just did not work out! (They were junk)
I am not going to give up on this build!! :-))

Well after working on the motor and drive train until 3:00 AM in the morning, my drive shaft design failed as well as the CHEAP motor!
So! As of now this build on hold until I can redesign the stern section and come up with a better motor selection, most likely brushless motor! I am going to back off the Holland build for a while!

I do see where the surface control rods seem to be more outside the prop guard as per say! I am installing the motor and the prop this AM and will have a better idea as to the control rod locations! Thanks again for the advice and photos!
