Bleaching is dead marine-grown. Starts the moment you surface a few miles from the channel. By evening time the boat looks even worse.

I'm surprised by the bleaching of the paint even if you're running underwater most of the time.Leave a comment:

A very useful document. I'll keep it on file. In temperate waters (we operated out of Guam) the WEBSTER would come back from patrol with barnacles clinging to everything. Not in big clumps, but randomly.Leave a comment:

And people wonder why brick and mortar hobby stores are going out of business left, right and center. Today's buyers won't get out of bed to buy things. They want to browse, search and buy from the comfort of home and have it delivered an hour later. Amazon has created that expectation. Mom and pop stores can accept that and get with the times or they can die a slow and painful death.
Harsh, but true.

Sorry, mine has been in business 35 years and the employees are knowledgeable people. It’s about 4000 square feet with an upstairs. That’s who donated the U-boat for the raffle.

Today's hobby shops are only good for glue, magazines and bad advice issued by a blue-haired, tattooed guy(?) with more hardware in his/her face than a steam locomotive!

How did I know you would whine? I got it for $10.00 through my local hobby shop which I support. Sue me.Last edited by Das Boot; 10-07-2021, 07:17 PM.Leave a comment:
