I've seen a Trumpeter test shot of a version of this kit with all missile hatches open.

The two forward missile hatches were separate from the rest which were engraved. After glueing the two hatches flush with the deck I was compelled to re-scribe the hatch outline, which left a scared deck needing fill. Also, I actually drilled vent holes atop each missile hatch as that would be better looking than the lightly engraved circles provided on the kit part. Some of those needed filling. So... I said, what the hell, and puttied all the hatches for symmetries sake.
