I would say that there was a water depth of about 3-4 feet. However, at this event the pool was not at capacity. I would say between 5-4 feet when full.Who is John Galt?Comment

Returning from the first r/c model boat regatta of the season -- this one at Carmel, Indiana -- Post Mission operations and checks had to be performed on hulls and SubDrivers: Cleaning the hulls, addressing mechanical, electronic, and propulsion problems encountered at the venue, airing out the cylinders, placing the batteries in safe storage, and putting the repaired and maintained SubDrivers to bed.

Ellie trained kids; tough little SOB's from the start and have stayed that way to this day:
Chris became a vice-President at Bank of America, and Elena is a retired electrical engineer-company representative in Silicon Valley.
That doughnut incident, about a half-century ago, was one of the cements that bonded Ellie and me together for life. Throughout my navy days, no matter what government housing we were billeted in, the word spread out among the neighbor kids, 'you don't want to mess with those new kids' -- if the kids could not handle someone, Ellie would: swinging her dreaded big-ass wooden spoon she kept at the ready by the door.
Before I hooked up with the family they lived in section-8 housing -- mostly Welfare 'mothers' with undisciplined little savages pretending to be kids. That environment taught Ellie's kids well: they were already battle-tested when I came into the picture.
