Dives OK but comes up arse first. More trimming required. Also has a ferocious torque roll at present.

Are you using the standard gas SD or Snort/SAS?
Make it simple, make strong, make it work!

Those cleaver props generate a lot of force, and im guessing with the limited space between sub driver and hull, you havent got much room for foam, and hence lead. just go easy on the throttle

Its gas, although there is a strange sound in the background that sounds like a pump, it isn't in the sub.

They sure do generate some force. That torque roll on the video is me just easing the throttle forward a tad. The initial surge is rater alarming. There is a small amount of room available at each end so I plan to add a bit more weight. The full size version is reactor powered so it must have some kind of inlet scoops. I don't have any detail on that but I may fit a pair of blade scoops that might also reduce the roll a little.

Can't you program the ESC to a lower punch level?

I have. Its at 30% right now. Seems like the initial impulse is the problem. More lead!

If you add scoops you could make them out of lead for added weight and torque control.

That should be "Good thought". I really shouldn't type without my glasses on.

How about lead landing skids. The Kashalot was allegedly an intelligenc-gathering craft equipped with manipulator arms and landing skids similar to the USS Parche for working on the seabed.
