How about lead landing skids. The Kashalot was allegedly an intelligenc-gathering craft equipped with manipulator arms and landing skids similar to the USS Parche for working on the seabed.

All worth considering.

Just scraped past the wall. I've retrimmed it again today and it handles a lot better now. This pool is salt water so its riding a bit high as well. In the fresh its sitting with just the upper surface of the sail out of the water. Qhiue fast as well, which was a suprise as the throttle is dialed right back.

Whenever you like. In fact, you can hang onto them if they are still useful - I really don't need them anymore.
