You're going to be very pleasantly surprised at how easy it will be to visually track your boat while submerged with that paint/weathering scheme. Especially if you run in an oak (tannin) stained body of water!! That's pretty much what we have here in New England, and it does make a huge difference!!

Well, in summary, I guess I misunderstood how a Type XXIII looks at the waterline and below. I was presented photos of brownish creme hulls and waterlines which I am now told they would look only in Drydock after the sealife dies......... Basically most actual photos on the net are of course only black and white. So, this is what she looks like after I surrendered her to my wife. I may build another one day and paint as I originally did this time, light grey over dark grey. Click image for larger version

Your weathering work on your Bronco looks great! Weathering has not been one of my better trade marks, in fact it has been non existing in most of my boats. Watching how the majority of the sub builders here work with weathering is fascinating. Nice work on your wife's artistic skills. Looking for to your video.

    What's next!?

    Yike's!...

...Now knowing your gal is in the loop I shall act accordingly.

Mrs. biggsgolf: Sorry, Ma'am, for past 'words of encouragement' that may have stretched the boundaries of decorum a bit while guiding my student through his work; in the future I shall moderate my tone as I address your idiot husband.
