    Jorg,

Really enjoying the "Old School" building technique's here! You and David M. sure are helping to keep it alive. Building from scratch at its best. Looking forward to seeing the finished boat. I also like where your shop is located! Great use of space.

Thank you, Rob! Yes, finally a real shop! Best are the decent storage lockers.

some more progress: inserted a styrine spine to lenghten the too short sail and create a sharp edge.glassing and filling to follow...

At the moment i am extending the "aluminum" section of the stern by 20mm in order to have more space between the screw's tip and the rudder. I want to have a wider rudder, avoiding the cut-out as in the original one making space fo the propeller. Two pvc brackets will connect the stern to the square aluminum spacer that itself will be bolted down to a new pvc intermediate bulkhead that will replace the old abs piece.

And some pictures of the pre-refit tech tray, showing the forward bulkhead with the locking mechanism and the lower compartment that housed the three batteries.

A quickly built jig to assist with grinding the sides at straight 90 deg angle. Only adding sandpaper and its ready

You would have achieved more symmetry if you had assembled the sail blank from two pieces of wood/renshape, glued together in a left-right arrangement. The glue seam on the blank servicing as a never disappearing longitudinal line, top and bottom from which to work the sections.

Yes, thats what id do if id start the sail from scratch.

I am just extending an existing pattern... low tech here, symmetrie will be fine when finished.

What i need to achieve is this: Sharp trailling edge sternwards, my sail is too blunt and fat.
