To clearify David's point, the sail has got one major flaw, the original is radically teardrop-shaped in profile,as visible in this yard-shot of K-3:

Mine is not, its flat, therefore hard to achieve that knife-like edge.

However the profile of K-3 is longitudinally a bit different from the series - 627A.

As i dont want new production tooling and this is not beeing a scale model anyways, i'll stick to my "turd".

so, Mr. M, HOW ABOUT FINISHING THAT SIERRA II BEAUTY DUSTING ON YOUR WALL? no further Seaview/Albacore/Barbel, please!

    I've spoken.

Well said sir. Thanks for bouncing off the matt so quickly with the upper cut. You're a fighter. I like that.

Do as you will, of course. I can only lead you bums to water but can't make you drink, as the old saying goes.

Fair shot about that beautiful SWM 1/96 SIERRA-2 model languishing on the shop wall. Once I finish with some over-due obligations, I have that and the WEBSTER at the top of my 'bucket-list' for completion. God... those Commie's made some beautiful boats!

Agreed: I've milked the SEAVIEW/ALBACORE/BARBEL's way too much here. I'll back off.

Ahhh, Scott's November Holiday... thanks for the offer, but nope. I'd only agree to one complete kit off his molds, but that's another story...

This is as far as i am pushing it without cutting open the sides of mine:

Right you are sir. I'll have to try that again. Thanks for the heads up.

I agree with you; there's something iconic about the NOVEMBER's.

Beautiful work. The subtle weathering makes it 'pop'. What a lethal looking beast.
