      David I have tried to separate the hulls this way, the way Bronco makes them, have you tried this way before , this is the wrong WTC just for test

                I think I did David we will see my photos may have been to large about to glue the hulls together

                  Here I glue the two hulls together with Plastruct Plastic Weld goes on with a small brush . Make sure you snap the half's together all along the keel and deck, let sit over night Click image for larger version  Name:	24.jpg Views:	1 Size:	154.8 KB ID:	128136
                  I did not take photos but I installed the rudder and the rods for the bow and stern planes,will take photo when I cut her open tomorrow

                      Tom put you straight on the photo-size issue -- took me months to figure that out.

                      Only use the cohesive cement on styrene to styrene unions, Bill. You get a proper fusion (weld) between the parts with that. And use stretched sprue and styrene strip as 'welding rod' to melt within and fill any significant gaps between parts being glued together.


















                      And scrub all the plastic parts with scouring powder and water followed by a good rinsing. The injection forming process leaves oil on the parts surfaces and that will bugger up bonding and painting.

                          For what it's worth, i still can split my type XXIII into four parts, but the easiest way will be cutting at the waterline, you still need tools to open her up, don't have that problem with mine

                              Question: what is the best type of glue to use for PLA, I did RTFI, just wondering what boat modeler's use.
                              Printing a stand for my U-2326 as we write. The first one did not come out very good, used super glue .
