Getting closer to finishing the Japanese I-400 Subs AA guns

Well I got the supports off, but one of the gun sights broke off. I going to need to thicken the bar that holds the sights. Everything else seem to have come out fine. I-400 AA gun. I also still want to add a little bit more detail to the rear of the guns.

Since the sights are most likely adjustable or removable you might want to shorten them closer to the horizontal holder. Picture from WEB.

Yea there a lot of versions of the AA gun, land, train, ship, and sub. Sad part one sub had different versions from its sister sub.

Very cool. I love printing and these look great. I've printed some similarly difficult models.

I wish I would have hat a resin printer when I built my I-400!

                Wizzard033,

Your Type VII-C is looking good! Those parts look clean and crip. Are you using PLA? Make sure you keep the photos coming.

Thanks, yes its PLA first, then I'll probably try ABS, and maybe even break down a model and resin print one also.

Can’t help but notice that there’s seems to be some gaps between the hull walls, what infill % are you printing with? You should be printing at 100% infill to avoid water seeping into the air gaps.

Actually 0% infill. I plan to dissect the hull and fiberglass the interior with 2oz cloth. Also I will open all the scuppers and such from the backside.
