Bronco Type XXIII in 1/35th scale

David, there is no rest for you....... Mike are you going to carry this one?
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

        Wow!

Can anyone tell me the length and beam of this kit?

Any idea what a kit this big retails for?

I looked the original up on google and found that the original boat was 34.7 m long with a beam of 3m. This would put it at 991mm (39") long and 86mm (3.39") beam.

So, is that enough room for a 3" WTC or would the 2.5 be a better fit? Are the other kits well detailed? I have not built any of their kits so I do not know.

This announcement is new, I have not seen any prices or when availability is expected. Anyone have some insider information?

Bet it would be cool to build one with working torpedoes either gas or electric.

Perfect length, Myron. A good turning, easy to drive subject. The standard, single-motor 2.5 would be a perfect fit, Tom. And the type-23 has such a low freeboard that the SD has more than enough floodible volume in the ballast tank.

Yeah, a good candidate for a simple launcher, Romel (finish your damned KILO!).

Other than that, I don't know anything more about this kit than you bums. Anyone got pictures of an open kit from this company -- this announcement came out of the blue and Mike and I don't know the first thing about this outfit.

Nope! There's no money in these plastic models, and I simply can't compete because I'm only able to take a small order for this niche market. Lets them all fight over the scraps like dogs around a bone. I'll just sit on the porch and watch the carnage!

Never say never, Mike. I'll contact the factory this week & find out when the kit is to be released & how I can get my hands on a few.

He's right. the 808 key-chain camera in one of Chris' Tic-Tac containers, shooting through the open deck-gear locker door in the leading edge of the sail. Oh ... the posibilities.

And, Mike: You've been bugging me to develop a 1/32 weapon system ...

For next year, to be sure, I have work for Mamas, and others to get out of the way first.
