Airbrushing, new to me, looking for help advice

    This thread was for my Skipjack. I did the entire boat with Rustoleum which is enamel. I tried using dark grey primer as a base color coat on the hull but once it was clear coated it looked black. So I went with flat black. The hull red was Tamiya. The other weathering colors (not shown, also Rustoleum) were mixed for the scum below the waterline. The above waterline streaking was Rustoleum flat white then over sprayed with black to kill the bright white appearance, same for the oil can effect on the sail. The final clear coat was Rustoleum flat clear, decanted and spray with an airbrush. Spraying this direct from the can does not work, must be sprayed from an airbrush.

    I've only built the Marlin, 10+ years ago, then the Skipjack, and now the Bronco XXIII. The XXIII has not been painted yet. Not building anymore subs for a while. I jump around with boat types. I have my party boats, but now working on a 12 meter sailboat.
