      Kinda.

Jake and I are preparing for the January Cabin Fever event Cabin Fever Expo | Cabinfeverexpo This is a monster r/c vehicle, internal and external combustion model engine exhibition, and Machinists play-land. The event held in Amish-country, Lebanon, Pennsylvania. The venue features a very, very large indoor pool (about 18" deep) for we r/c boat and submarine drivers.

Still, the pool is of a relatively small foot-print so the ships and submarines have to be of a small size if they are to turn effectively in such confined waters. Here's a video of this years event that Jake, Ken and I attended: https://youtu.be/5Hh1DEixDQM Note the size of the pool and the very enthusiastic audience.

Jake ran his 1/96 Type-21 there last year, and I want to sortie out with him with my own unit to maneuver with the several Kriegsmarine warships that will be there, assisting them in our world conquering efforts to make the pool safe for National Socialism.

I'm trying to get at least five boats ready for the event: SEAVIEW; a 1/96 ALBACORE, Type-21; 1/144 XIA, Type-214; and 1/35 X-Craft. I've got less than three months to get all that done and the boats trimmed out properly to make the event.

            What about the Danny Webster!?!
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go on an overnight drunk, and in 10 days I'm going to set out to find the shark that ate my friend and destroy it. Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome.

Naw... the Pig Fish has too wide a turning radius to be any fun in those confines.

You're little 1/96 Type-212, on the other hand...

My first time bringing it to a show, I may have accidentally bumped into a model rowboat that was already doing lazy circles in the middle of the pond. A few minutes later, it sank to the bottom. Like a true submariner, I quietly packed up my 212 and disappeared like a thief in the night.

Stencil a 'kill' marking on the sail, and move on. Nothing like the taste of blood to crystalize a 'sense of mission'. So, you ready to make hotel reservations at Lebanon, PA?

I may… I’m trying to see if I can make my new shark “flyable”.

Do this, and avoid airport security: Double box it and ship it to me, I drive it up to the event and there you are. Same on the return trip back home.
