Anyway...
...Yeah.
I have been hoping around between projects a bit more than usual -- sometimes even I am left wondering what to do next (and why!). Anywho...
The project with the 'grass' is one of Dave Manley's magnificent 1/96 kits, the HMS TRENCHANT of the TRAFALGAR class of British SSN's. I've put this guy at the top of the rotation in the hope of having it finished and all trimmed out in time for the big Groton event later this month. Sure wish you could make it, Casey, but I do appreciate what a long drive that would be for you. Red Clay for sure, pal!
By the way, your SWM 1/96 BLUEBACK is looking fine. Seems you're coming to terms with your Paasche H-model air-brush, and the markings look good too. Drop the other shoe and paint those two marker buoy fairing plates 'international orange', and you'll be done with it. AND weather that beast!
What's next on your workbench?

David, I am having trouble understanding the red and blue where the draft numbers are. Can you help explain what you have going on there? The screen mask with random glue spots filling the grid is genius sir. I learned something new today. Thank you!Comment

Nope. Flexible, plastic screen door material. Likely Nylon or Vinyl. Available in just about any mesh-size/material/type. Very useful stuff. I first became aware of the technique applied here when I did the tile-work on an old Revell Space Shuttle model.Who is John Galt?👍 1Comment

Scott sent me two sets of hull and appendages, and gave me permission to turn one set into masters from which to make production tooling -- I have not done that yet, but did put the other set of parts together and got it running -- still have to mark and weather that one.
