    Bronco Type XIII 1/35

I came across a Bronco Type XXIII 1/35 kit. I’m thinking of what diameter WTC to use. The beam is 3.4”. Has anyone put a 3.0” WTC in one?

Thanks, I was hoping I could use a 3.0”. If the beam is 3.4” what am I missing?

You're missing enough annular space in which to place foam.

Ahh, well said. I take it the WTC is a 2.5”? It’s hard to estimate without a WTC and kit in hand. Thanks Much.

Yes, that's a 2.5" SD. A 3" SD would be too big of a diameter.

Thanks for posting the pics, your experience is invaluable. Your posts, advise and willingness to share has helped me and many other folks immensely. I have one of your old D&E Miniatures 3.5” WTCs. It has the adjustable ballast space and the conical wedge rotary valves. Still water tight and works perfectly. It’s a testament to you engineering and modeling skills. Thanks again.

Damn, Minorcan;134295! You gotta eventually come up for air, right?

On a serious note: Much appreciate the appreciation. Just passing on what others taught me. Glad to help. The end-game is to leave the field better than you found it.

I'll throw in my WIP, https://forum.rc-sub.com/forum/build...nco-type-xxiii
Bottom line is, we are here to help you if you should need it.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.
