the magazine was only .15cents but the boat cost them 30 grand to build. Back then. You could buy a new Caddilac for around 3, and a large middleclass home was 15 to 25.
I have some very fond childhood memories of riding this ride at Walt Disney World back in the early 70's. It is of course long gone. A victim of corporate foolhardiness. If it looses its appeal to the masses then dismantle and store it and bring it out at a future time. Why destroy it?
IT TAKES GREAT INTELLIGENCE TO FAKE SUCH STUPIDITY!
I remember when they built the park in the 50s and every week Walt would have an update on the TV show. They would single out a ride and show clips of construction of the various Tomorrow land and Adventure land or one particular section, which ever one was the theme for the weekly show.Saw the movie when it came out, went on the one in Orlando with my kids in the 70s, and wondered if it was the one that they had in Califonia and moved it after they replaced it with a more current movie's ride. Where is the U Boat prop in the Indiana Jones Lost Ark movie, these days? It looked like it was almost full size.
Where do you get all that pictures? It's simply incredible. One thing can't refuse to say: It's only me who find that props arrangement is very very similar to german type XXII?
