SUBFEST 2023 - Call for volunteers

Today is too last-minute to schedule in conjunction with DiveTribe, so I'll set something up for next weekend. Let's say Sunday the 20th at 3pm central? How does that work for everyone?

Okay, I've put together a video meeting for Sunday, August 20th at 4pm central time. Everyone is welcome to attend. Here is the meeting link:

In the meantime, take a look at the tentative agenda based off of last year's event and put some thought into what you'd like to see, either as an attendee or as someone who will potentially get access to a video recording of the highlights of the event afterward.

• 11:00: Qual badge event overview and demo
• 12:00 Lunch from on-site concession stand
• 18:00: Dinner at (a different) local restaurant - details TBA

Friday, September 15th, 2023:

• 08:00: Gates open / Registration / t-shirts / raffle tickets
• 09:30: Event Announcements and roll call
• 10:00: Qual badge overview and demo
• 11:00: Seminar #1: Sub Operations 101
• 12:00: Lunch served from on site concession stand
• 18:00: Dinner at Venue: Low Country Boil
• Dusk: Movie night on-site!

Saturday, September 16th, 2023:

• 08:00: Gates open / Registration / t-shirts
• 09:00: Event Announcements and roll call
• 09:30-12:00: Sub Skipper interviews
• 11:00: Seminar #3: 900mhz in RC submarines
• 12:00: Lunch from onsite concession stand
• 13:00: Open forum / Q&A and RC Submarine discussions with experts
• 14:00: Group photos/video
• 16:00: The Great Submarine Oval Race

As discussed previously, I'll help with Quals, I think "Sub" Steve (Steve-O) will help with Docking Quals.

I'd also like to step up with "Operations Training" for folks new to, or having never touched a Sub TX before.
