Our initial offering of the 1/230 SKIPJACK SubDriver is 'bare bones', no devices, just the basic cylinder and bulkheads, but with installed motor which is outfitted with the drive shaft watertight seal and spark-suppression. Basic!

Check out the below pictures, as you'll see, we don't provide any 'devices' with the basic SD package, Andy. Later package options may indeed include installed and tested devises -- we'll have to wait and see how many want what options.

Right. that looks okay. But Mike listed Kevins leveller, servos and esc complete with the kit for $250.

How much is it for what you have in the picture?

Excellent pricing Mike. Should have yourself a winner with this one for sure. I know I will be picking one up once I am done with my other skipjack :) Any word on the twin motor version?

Yes that sounds okay to me. I'm in for a fittings kit.

I did a quick 'n dirty check on the postage at usps.com with the package weighing 1lb.(It might be less, I'm not sure yet) and it looks like it will run $10-12.

I'll be able to firm that up with a postcode and a firm weight. (Waiting for the shipment from David Merriman)

Okay post up when you get the stuff.

It would be nice to be able to purchase the Lexan tubing separately- for those who want to do their own dive module.

                        Any chance of that?

                          David,
Have you already determined at what depth the lexan servo covers deform?

Nope, still playing around with various lid materials, The current production version is using .062" thick Lexan. However, I've just ordered some .020" GRP (G-10) sheet from McMaster-Carr and will investigate its properties in this application. Stay tuned.

I've just had the shipment of Sub-drivers come in today, and I must say this little unit is a GEM! The precision of the parts and the overall design is stunning!

Andy asked if we could supply these without Lexan, but the parts are already in the kit, and David tells me he finally machines each end cap to ensure it is a tight fit to the tube. Apparently, there is a large fluctuation between tube batches.

                              A winner folks!

Ha, ha. No I was asking if the lexan tubing could be purchased in short (say one foot) lengths for those that want to grow their own little dive modules. You can't get this stuff here in the UK for love or money.

Dave's design is fine, but I'd have to hack it about so much for what I have in mind, it'd be easier to start over.

If it's not worth the time and trouble, then it's not a deal breaker- I can use PVC or laminate a little tube from GRP on a wax former.
