I took it out for a run in the pool today. I'd forgotten what a great little boat this is. It was scooting around at about three feet under the surface and I was having a wonderful time.... until I slowed down and THEN realised that it was out of gas! So a very cold (and chastening) swim later; I took it back into the bunker and sat it in the hull of the Oscar to dry off and was struck by the size comparison. They are both the same scale (1/96). Quite striking.Comment

This is the rear of the forplane and torpedo mount. The control arm for the forplanes was on top of the mechanism and made a simple control rod connection impossible. So I made a do-dad to bring the control point down next to the retract mechanism linkage. Works OK too.

Scott brought the Oscar to the subregatta this morning. Let me just say that there were some who needed to scrape their jaws off the ground. This boat is a show stopper. Simply stunning work . We need to get Brads V's typhoon to Scott's workshop so it can get a real weather job.
