Filler applies, next sanding: Start with a coarse 36- or 40-grit sandpaper to shape the filler, then progressively move to 80-120 grit for leveling, followed by 180-220 grit to refine the surface, and finally 320-400 grit for preparing the area before applying primer

The Resin endcap works perfectly. All mechanics on the 1:72 Skipjack are completed. The 70MM cylinder may not be big enough so I am going to design and build a larger one.

Don't be an alarmist idiot!... go with the existing WTC, trim the boat out thoroughly and you will find it suitable for the task. DON'T RE-INVENT THE WHEEL on a whim!!! Get some run-time under your belt before you panic over imagined 'issues'.

Keep plowing, you're doing fine. Don't screw up now.

                      I HAVE SPOKEN!!

Haha, thank you! I hear you sir! I actually mentioned the possible ballast issue to head off "undersized ballast" comments, lol. We will see!

You took my not-so-gentile prod with good humor. You're my kind of guy, sir. You'll be pleasantly surprised at how little water you need in that ballast tank to counter the displacement of the SKIPJACK's above waterline floodable structures -- no more than 15 ounces worth if I remember correctly.

Keep posting, the beatings will continue, my friend.

Damn!.... now, if you could only cook and bear children.

(On a quick reflection of my above, I reminded myself if I had pulled any of that **** on Ellie, the Authorities would still be looking for my remains).
