Increase the 'crease' between turtle-back and hull. Scribe a line in there.

The vertical line on the sail at the trailing edge -- just before the leading edge of the dorsal rudder -- and the trailing edge of the dorsal rudder are not straight lines. Fix them. I can't see it, but I bet you also buggered up the leading edge of the sail too!

Start using a sanding block damit! You're rounding off corners. You're free-handing it with the sandpaper, aren't you, race-boat-boy!?.....

Finish the damned thing, already! You're milking this project.

The first picture is a end view of my sanding block for getting into tight places. Its a brass tube wrapped with sandpaper. I used it to sand the turtleback where it joins the deck. I will, however score the joint lightly with a scribing tool. I put a straight edge along the edges that you refer to. Using the straight edge they look pretty close.

Not a very clear picture but this is the sail vent that I cobbled together. Im trying to reproduce the real vent.......ofcourse...........but without the necessary skill or tools. I took Subcultures advice and taped around it and put a thick coat of paint on it to represent the sheet metal grill frame that surrounds it. Ill lightly sand it and clean up the vertical slats a little before painting the model.Click image for larger version

Going back to the Duo-prop setup. I decided that I dont like the rear most bearing. Its sealed. In the past I have removed the seal flashing from the bearing. This one you cant remove the flashing. Im afraid water will get in and you will have no way to flush it. With an open Stainless Steel bearing you can flush it before and after entering the water. The first picture is of the sealed bearing and the next ones are the new open bearings.

I'm with you. Just hit it with some air to blow out the water, then splash on some oil after each use and you're good to go.

OK, before and after. Its still wet. We will see after it dries to see what color we will have.

It looks a little more grey than I wanted.

Wow, what a difference some paint makes! Great work Mark!
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.
