    Bill,
Spotlights can work against you. This video is me just holding the 808 camera (in a case I made) by hand and guessing the pan rate.
Going back to spotlights, what they can do is reflect off of all the tiny bits in the water, scattering the light, and making it even harder to see. To be fair, I have not tried it at this pond, but may do it as a test.
Get back to building! We can talk about this more After you get it running.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

… Give him the lash, Tom. The lash I say! Lay it on!

Good morning you two Goldbrickers, yes David and David Jr.
Update on the U-2326, I have the taps all in and letting the glue dry for 24 hours. I will post photos then.
I got my SAS yesterday put two servos in and had trouble with servo holder, my servos where about 1 mm too large, had to file the holder down.
Put a switch in and Battery connects, receiver will complete it today or tomorrow,
Going to a VA meeting this Moring may not have much U-2326 time.

You're addressing the servo miss-match to the servo foundation right. But on the servo bell-crank: make up the pushrod to the most inboard hole and trim back the excess arm -- you got to make room between the servos for the receiver.

Remove the receiver from its plastic case and wrap it in clear heat-shrink tube -- now it will fit atop the servo foundation piece.

                  Bill,
Do you have a rubber boot for that switch?
                  Peace,
                  Tom

Tom makes a good observation here. I don't see provision for a watertight boot over that toggle-switch stem, Bill. How are you going to keep the water out of the switch and dry space?

                    This is how it's done:

Could you not find a bigger, more ugly looking plug between battery and cable????

                      Tom
I have a water tight boot for the switch just have not put it on yet this is a water proof switch
And no lights this time no camera this time

                      David
I looked and looked these are the pretties plugs I could find
I put XT 90 on 11 volts and XT60 on 5 volts Battery so I don't get them mixed up in any of my boats

Those plugs are fine and your 23 looks great (looking in the background).

I have them on my other 5 boats like to be uniform plus have a boat load
OK question I have every thing working on my WTC on the bench, but am confused about the Ballast and the pump, the same thing? I put the pump on channel 5

Fair enough (and am glad Tom shamed you into not opting for the deluxe package -- the bells-and-whistles come later). Good idea assigning plug type/style to specific use and voltage. I hereby disengage and holster my wrath (for the moment).

But, goddamn! did you beat that wiring harness with an ugly-stick!?….. What do you solder with, a hot rock?!

How did you know I need a new iron going out tomorrow and get a new one but now that you say that when I was as kid that's what we used up in the back woods of Maine works great

                                you stated that
"Spotlights can work against you. This video is me just holding the 808 camera (in a case I made) by hand and guessing the pan rate.
Going back to spotlights, what they can do is reflect off of all the tiny bits in the water, scattering the light, and making it even harder to see."
When I was Scuba diving I had to have spot light to take any photos.
What is the differences ? Mine was right on top of the camera case,
